Bellmónt is an authentic Spanish restaurant located in the heart of Coral Gables, Florida. Through their beloved restaurant, owners and partners in life Sergio Catalina Béllmont and Claudia Romero pay homage to their family, culture and traditions, starting with the name of the establishment, which is a tribute to Sergio’s mother.
Traditional Spanish dishes made with care are Bellmónt’s specialty. Most of their ingredients come directly from Sergio’s country of origin. Their fish comes to the restaurant from the north of Spain, their meats are the best in the local markets, and they pride themselves on their extensive selection of fine wines from Europe, North America and Latin America.
The signature dish is Bellmónt’s “cochinillo a la leña,” an oven-roasted suckling pig that serves four to six guests. They are also famous for their scrumptious paella. Try a few of their many mouthwatering tapas as appetizers, or enjoy an entire meal of these flavorful small dishes.
Aside from the delicious food and wines, Bellmónt also hosts special events, such as a flamenco night once a month. The event features live music and dance performances accompanied by a delectable four-course prix fixe menu.
“We also have private events, we offer special packages, and we tailor everything on the menu. We just want to make sure you’re having a good time and the best food from Spain,” said Claudia Romero.
Sergio is as passionate about his hometown of Madrid as he is about Coral Gables. “We chose to be in Coral Gables because of its Spanish tradition,” he says. Sergio considers the city’s “Miracle Mile” to be the restaurant capitol of Coral Gables, and he loves the many diverse dining opportunities the area offers to diners. “I think that brings a lot of value to the city. The more variety and more diversity in the food that we have—it’s going to be a lot more attractive for the customer.”
